J’LEIN LIESE, PH.D

The developer of Lead with Conversations® and the Leader’s Playing Field™, Dr. Liese is an international expert in executive leadership, cross-cultural communication, strategy execution, diversity, change management, and conflict resolution.  For nearly 20 years, Dr. Liese has worked extensively with governments, especially law enforcement, and global companies throughout the United States, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.

During periods of chaos and change, Dr. Liese is often asked to facilitate the critical conversations her clients need to align vision and culture to achieve results. Recognizing that innovation is only as profitable as the team's ability to deliver, Dr. Liese helps organizations bridge the gaps needed to align and execute.

Her methodologies have been researched, tested and scientifically validated for efficacy in complex situations and in cross-cultural contexts.  As a result, Dr. Liese has developed a set of transferable tools that not only enable clients to engage in difficult conversations but also includes change management processes to ensure the underlying values and behaviors of employees match the strategic vision and goals of a new policy or strategic direction.

With a specific skill set to successfully bring diverse groups together in emotionally-charged situations, Dr. Liese often works in acute-conflict areas.  Currently, these areas include the Middle East and previously the Democratic Republic of Congo, South Africa and Kenya.
A frequent international keynote speaker, Dr. Liese has spoken for TEDx Women’s Day, several United Nation global conferences, as well as her work has been featured in the award-winning MTV documentary “Warning Signs.”  In addition to her work being published in several international publications and books, Dr. Liese recently released her first children’s book, “Whispered Wisdom.”
